10 Books to Gift this Christmas

What better way so cosy up around Christmas time than with a good book? We know that e-books have their advantages, but we feel that nothing beats holding a good, physical book. They are definitely great gifts for book lovers and can be sent as letterbox gifts, so no worry about missing your delivery!

The Classics

First, we’re starting with the classic books. We have a range of brilliant stories, with covers that our design team have re-created beautifully. We know normally you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but in this case, we think you can! As specialists in stationery, we couldn’t resist putting our own magical touch to these beloved classics.
Additionally, each book sits in gorgeous cloth with the title and spine debossed in gold and silver foil. Talk about luxury gifts!
Four of our favourites are Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Jungle Book and Little Women. All would make lovely additions to Christmas gift boxes.

Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Jungle Book and Little Women

Most know the storylines of these beauties, but here’s a little re-cap if you’re unfamiliar!

Alice in Wonderland features a girl called Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world full of weird and wonderful people and animals like the Mad Hatter.
The Wizard of Oz starts with a tornado that rips through Kansas. It whisks character Dorothy and her dog Toto into a magical land called Oz, where she follows a yellow brick road with a Scarecrow, Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion to the Emerald City.
The Jungle Book follows Mowgli who is a feral child raised by wolves in the Indian Jungle. His friends Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear try to convince him to leave the jungle as the evil tiger Shere Khan is after him.
Lastly, Little Women follows the lives of the four March sisters; Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. It explores their journey from childhood to womanhood.

Non-Fiction

Next is our collection of non-fiction books. We’ve chosen this collection of three as they explore a variety of topics that feed the soul and the curious mind, which is great for the Christmas relaxation period. Therefore, they make great gifts for book lovers.
We have awakening words from Sigmund Freud’s Dream Psychology, which shines a light on our dreams and their possible meanings.
Also, Roman reflections with Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, documenting spiritual reflections, personal guidance and self-improvement.
The third of the collection is Dale Carnegie’s The Art of Public Speaking. He helps to master the skills of public speaking by growing confidence with good communication and self-awareness.

These books have also been re-designed by our Bookblock designers to create striking covers that would make stylish additions to Christmas gift boxes and any growing book collection.
